[28 June 2003] Our gigography has been updated with the recent European tour setlists. We do have audio recordings of the shows but they are for our use only!
[24 June 2003] We 100% encourage anyone in the audience to record our shows for their own use as we also do the same. Unfortunately we didn't capture our performance at the Blackout Club in Rome on video. We saw at least 3 people in the audience with video cameras so if you have a copy please let us know as we would love one for our archives. Apologies also go out to everyone at the show as quite strangely there was a power blackout at the Blackout Club on Friday 13th and we were unable to finish our set. We had at least another 2 songs to go!
[23 June 2003] For those who were not able to make it to the shows we still have a limited
amount of copies left of the From Angels To Ashes cd and the Ceremony/In
A Lonely Place cd single that can be purchased directly from us.
[21 June 2003] We are all back safe and well from our recent trip to Europe and have so many people to thank for making the tour a success. [30 November 2002] We are now organizing a new European tour starting in Denmark on 30 May 03 and ending in Italy around 16th of June. In the middle of these dates will include the Leipzig festival which is held on the 6-9 June and we are all looking forward to this. More news to follow as it comes to hand. [29 November 02] We have just finished the first lot of demos for the new Ikon cd. At present we have 13 songs completed with many others to be finished yet. It has been a good opportunity for us to hear how the songs are coming along and what else we can do to them. We will have a couple up on this site shortly. Our plans for the new album release date are up in the air at the moment, but things should become clearer over the coming weeks. [16 August 02] We have just returned from our short trip to Germany without any major problems. We will start work again on our new cd shortly. Thanks to all those new friends we met along the way and also old acquaintances! Plans are already underway for our return to Europe in June 2003 for a more extensive tour. [12 August 02] M'era Luna festival was an amazing experience for us! We had a great time and met some wonderful fans from around the Globe. So many people! Saw some great music as well! [10 August 02] Great to be back at K-17, hard to believe it was a year ago we played here! Those who attended, witnessed the longest Ikon set ever, we were drained! Its a shame we will never play the venue again as its recently been sold and K-17 will hopefully relocate in April 2003. [6 August 02] Shortly after we arrived in Berlin I received the sad news that Ivan Dominguez, drummer from The Last Dance, died suddenly of pneumonia on 3rd August whilst the band were on tour in Belgium! Our deepest sympathies go out to Ivan's family and friends and we also wish the band great success in the future! [05 August 2002] We leave to Germany today for our short tour! A few days rest in Berlin before we play our favourite German club K-17 on 9.8 and then on to M'era Luna for 11.8. We play the main stage at 4.50 pm so look forward to seeing you there! [04 August 2002] Ikon's new mail order cd "The tyranny of distance" is out and contains the show from Club 77 in Sydney from May this year as well as some bonus tracks! The cd is limited to 500 copies only so don't miss out as you can hear some new material from our forthcoming studio cd! [03 August 2002] Ikon's next Sydney date has now been confirmed for October 19th. The show will once again be held at Club 77 but as yet no other details of the night are known! [01 August 2002] Ikon played a low key show at The Laundry in Melbourne on 31st of July before heading back to Europe. The few people who were present would have encountered Ikon playing a mixed set of both new and old material. The Redresser took the stage soon after to play an alternative set trying out now material!. [27 June 2002] Ikon played at The Laundry in Fitzroy last night too a great turn out for a Wednesday. We also had a special guest Douglas P from Death In June appear with us during Fall Apart. He then went on to play 4 songs on his own.Our next planned gigs in Australia are after we return from Europe and should be in September. The first one being Gothnation which is a goth fest held at the Hi-Fi Bar in Melbourne on 28 September and the second one being at Club 77 in Sydney in later October. [25 May 2002] Ikon recently returned to Sydney for the first time in over 6 years. Our trip was well overdue and we all had a great time. We hope to be back soon. Part of our concert will be broadcast on 2RRR in Sydney over the coming few weeks. [15 May 2002 ] We have been writing new songs over the past 8 months and if you have been lucky enough to see us recently you would have heard a few in our set.We hope to have a new single out around October this year followed by a new full length cd in February. We are going under the working title "Destroying The World To Save It" and we will have the odd demo online soon. So far about 18 songs are in progress. We will be featuring more new songs live over the coming weeks. [5 May 2002] Short is an understatement,
but we were offered an exclusive contract to play this years M'era Luna
Festival in August. We are also permitted to play one warm up show. Here
are the details: We are looking forward to these shows and if you saw us last year, you can expect a different set this time around! [1 May 2002] Yes its true, we were going to release a live cd this year, but that has been put on hold for now. Boring!! Most bands do it. We have recorded the past 15 shows for the proposed cd, but they will keep. There are enough unofficial ones anyway! [20 September 2001] If any of you out there have got photos and/or videos from the 2001 European tour, please contact Chris McCarter
