Information
Produced by Chris McCarter and Adam Calaitzis
Engineered and mixed by Adam Calaitzis
Band line-up: Chris McCarter, Dino Molinaro, Anthony Griffiths and David Burns

Chris originally wrote 'Afterlife' in 1996 but decided that it sounded too "goth" for inclusion on This Quiet Earth and put the song aside. After assembling the new band line-up with Anthony Griffiths and David Burns, it seemed fitting to resurrect the track. Chris wanted 'Afterlife' to be the first single from On the Edge of Forever, but because 'Lifeless' had been released soon before, he did not wish to put out another single with a similar title.

'Afterlife' calls on Chris's life-long interest in ancient Egypt and its mythology. The song's original title was 'Forever'.
